Education Hub

Gowrie shares our expertise.

In 2019, just like every other year since Gowrie NSW was established, we continued to share our quality expertise by providing professional development to the wider education and care sector.

We provided professional development to many educators from many services.

This year we provided ongoing professional learning to

educators across NSW and the ACT.

We delivered

face to face workshops.

Our workshops covered a range of areas.

  • teaching and learning
  • inclusion and diversity
  • leadership
  • STEM
  • infant and toddler pedagogy
  • transition to school
  • self-regulation
  • educator wellbeing
  • National Quality Framework

In 2019 we delivered workshops in towns and cities across NSW.

In places like

  • Ballina
  • Coffs Harbour
  • Cooma
  • Dubbo
  • Wollongong
  • Newcastle
  • Griffith
  • Mudgee
  • Penrith
  • Hazelbrook
  • and, of course, Erskineville.

We supported the sector to create better outcomes for children.

‘I absolutely loved this training. It was informative and inspirational! I can’t wait to get started!’

‘I have gained and learnt a lot from today’s course that I will be taking back with me to my service.’

‘This workshop was incredibly informative and the facilitator was fabulous in her presentation. Really worthwhile for all educators.’

‘The workshop was engaging and inspirational, and sparks ideas and discussion among participants. Great to be able to learn interactively with people who share the same passion in early childhood education.’

‘It was a very valuable day – many beneficial discussions and exercises and information to take back to my day to day work.’

We are committed to supporting the sector.

Over the past year our Education Hub has run workshops for educators in our state’s most remote (and drought stricken) areas. Jessica, one of our professional development facilitators, travelled with one of our Inclusion Professionals (Myra) to Walgett to deliver an on demand professional learning workshop. We can never forget that many educators in early learning are isolated – professional development delivered by Gowrie people, like JessIca, helps grow professional knowledge and relationships.
